Jubilee Arts youth under the leadership of our resident artists Emily Chow Bluck created a beautiful sign for our partners at the Strength To Love II Farm. The youth visited the hoop houses just blocks away from Jubilee Arts to learn about farming in the city. The farm currently made up of 6 hoop houses (several more are in construction) grows various types of lettuce sold through Big City Farms to area restaurants (more about the farm here). After visiting the farm the youth used their experience to create a design for a sign and then painted in our weekly, Food + Farm class! Look for it soon on the farm property at the corner of Monroe and Lorman st.
